The Gene Vanderhoek Tube is a mostly flat nosed traditional Tube shape with some slight taper towards the slanted nose. You can see the keel weight added to the bottom of the insert. These are extremely productive lures for Marlin fishing - The Tube shape is a classic shape when trolling for Marlin. A true collector's item and a piece of lure making history.

This collection of lures handmade by Gene Vanderhoek are newly made and also vinyl skirted by the man himself. These are few and far between as he rarely produces any lures anymore, and there were very limited numbers produced over the last 40+ years anyway. Not only are they collector's items, they are still very productive lures as well. We are stoked to be able to present these to you all. Once they're gone, they're gone.

This particular head has gorgeous iridescent pink/blue Mother of Pearl for the insert inside a blue resin pour with the "CAPT GENE" signature at the bottom of the insert.
