Continuing with our 2022 Top Sellers list, the MARLIN MAGIC Baby Ruckus comes in at #3.
The Baby Ruckus, the 10" version of the popular Ruckus shape, was first produced in 1990 for lighter tackle setups. Since then, this smaller version has been consistently one of the best-selling baits in Marlin Magic's arsenal.

Marlin Magic Lures are essentially ran by two individuals. First, you have the original creator, the man in the cockpit, Captain Marlin Parker. He's his father's son, a truly elite Marlin fisherman, one always seeking those 1% improvements in all aspects of his fishing game. His reputation speaks for itself.
Marlin Parker's mentor was Steve Abru, a deckhand for Marlin's father George Parker. Steve was an artist as well as an excellent fisherman, and Steve assisted Marlin through his earliest years of producing lures.
In 1980, Marlin Parker met another artist Gary Eoff on the Kona beach, found out about Gary's personal abalone shell collection, and convinced Gary to start producing inserts for Marlin. Not too long after, Gary was creating molds, pouring lures, and handling all manufacturing duties for Marlin, the beginnings of a true partnership.
A partnership functions best when all parties involved bring something different to the table, a role they love and admire. For Marlin, that is fishing and innovation. For Gary, that is art, manufacturing, and creativity. Over the years, they have worked together to build one of the most prominent handmade lure companies to have ever existed. Marlin Magic Lures wouldn't be what it is today without either of those men.

Here is what Gary had to say on the Baby Ruckus: "The ruckus proved to be such an unreal lure, we knew that if we made a smaller version it would still act well. Right off the bat it caught a lot of fish. That's when we started making families of lures - Back then the concept of the same lure large, medium, and small wasn't popular."
Of course the Ruckus itself is one of the most famous lures of all-time, but more on the Ruckus & Marlin Magic another time.
