Joe Yee Ice Blue Rainbow Swirl Teddy Bear Eyes 501 12" 5oz

**This lure is brand new handmade in Joe Yee's shop and was made directly by him before his passing in 2024. All of our Joe Yees are 100% authentic, and most can be shown with a photo of Joe Yee himself. We get all of our new inventory directly from Joe Yee's Grandson and not from other individuals - All inventory that did not come from Joe Yee himself will be otherwise noted with "Pre-Owned" in each lure Title.**

Joe Yee sadly passed away at the age of 96 on August 30, 2024. For the last decade or so, his grandson Steven Kegley has been handling distribution of his lures while working with him in his shop. Since his passing, Steven has been cleaning his lures that he either made recently or has been sitting on shelves, which this lure here is one example.

If you've seen our video of Joe's personal shop when Chris Donato interviewed him (check out our YouTube channel), you will see that there is a massive assortment of lures from over the decades still in his shop. That being said, for the time being, we are still offering Joe's handmade lures. Steven has begun making some of his own as well under the label "Joe Yee Lures by Kegz", so you will easily be able to identify which ones are made by Joe and which ones are made by Steven. You can be confident that these here were in fact made by Joe Yee himself.

The "501" got its name after a 501 lb Blue Marlin that was caught on the first of its shape that Joe made by one of his customers back in the day. The 501 is 2-7/8" in length from the tip of the nose to the end of the end of the lure face (above the saddles). It's a double tapered plunger that has a bit more diameter than the Medium Plunger. This is one of Joe's most well known lures. Comes in a 9" size as well (Baby 501), but this is his standard size.
