The Aloha Lures Super Ninja is a staple in many fishermen's spreads and has earned its reputation of not just being an excellent meat fish producer but also catches a lot of Marlin. It has a unique fish head oval-shaped design with an open mouth for the nose and 9" sized skirt saddles. These run great in the riggers or the shotgun positions.

Here is the man himself, Erik Rusnak, on his “Ghost” Super Ninja:

“The Aloha Lures Super Ninja lure took shape over a period of several years. Lathed, carved and polished by hand, It was first introduced in 2004. The original concept was based on my experiences fishing for billfish in hot spots in the Pacific and Atlantic where many trolling spreads were dominated with larger, more aggressive, and bubbling lures. Growing up fishing in Hawaii we would catch as many big fish on chrome jets, bullets and straight running lures.

“It was my goal to create a unique swimming bullet that was easy to eat and, because you have to catch the fishermen first, attractive enough to earn a position. The Ninja was born in idea and form to help improve the odds of success.

“It only took a couple of years for the Ninja to find its way into the daily fishing spreads of sport and tournament boats around the world.

“The Ninja 2 was created in 2006 with the only difference being the inset eye placement. The weight and balance are identical to the original ninja and have not changed or been adjusted over time.
From a production standpoint this allowed us to make the popular pearlescent heads and led to
more consistency for the placement of the lead insert.

“However, the Ninja 2 is much more challenging to make. The molds break down quickly and must be replaced often. Although both versions produce bites with equal success, many Hawaii fishermen choose the Ninja 2.

“From its first day in the water it was clear that the Ninja 2 was special. It had more cavitation and unique surface swim than the original version. Over time the Ninja 2 earned the nickname “Ghost” Ninja and is still popular after nearly 20 years. The majority of the Ghost Ninjas were released and sold locally.

“Today we are excited to introduce the Ninja 2 to a new generation of fisher people worldwide. It can be dressed with flashaboo or rubber skirts and wings are always recommended. The Ghost Ninja has a long history of success and can be fished with confidence and the knowledge of time tested results.”
