Joe Yee by KEGZ-Niiyama Collab Blue Mackerel Fish Head Super Plunger 14" 7.2oz GZE

This lure is part of a brand new collaboration series with Steven Kegley of "Joe Yee by Kegz Lures" and Jon Niiyama of "Niiyama Lures." These are not mass produced by any means and are will be extremely difficult to get your hands on in the future.

This particular lure is a gorgeous "Ballyhoo" fish head hand-painted by Jon Niiyama and inserted into one of Joe Yee's lures, the Super Plunger, handmade by Steven Kegley. Extremely gorgeous rare bait. Signed by Jon Niiyama with the Kegz label at the bottom of the insert.

Steven Kegley, the grandson of the late Joe Yee, is picking up where his grandfather left off and will continue making lures under a new label, Joe Yee Lures by KEGZ. All of his lures are made out of the same molds his Grandfather used, but you will finally be able to get an authentic Joe Yee Lure at a lower price without it being a direct copy or fake. 

The Super Plunger lure has been molded or mimicked time and time again because of its perfect shape and movement in the water - this is the killer of all killers. The Super Plunger has defined the Plunger family of lures you see out there today. It is an inspiration for lure makers all over. Many Granders have been caught on this shape alone.

On Jon Niiyama, we've been carrying his baits for almost 7 years now. His collaborative work is becoming more extensive by the day with collaborations with Dennis Odagiri, Joe Yee, Marlin Magic Lures, Koya Lures, and now Steven Kegley of Joe Yee Lures by Kegz. His hand-painted insert work is practically unmatched, and even his personal work entails some of the most coveted baits on the market.
