A brief summary: The JP Lures Series all are handmade from the same molds originally created by the original JP Lures maker, Joe Palacat. When Eric Koyanagi (maker of Koya Lures) was first learning how to produce lures, Joe was not just Eric's main inspiration but also his only mentor, teaching him everything he needed to know about lure making. Thanks to the strong ties between the two living legends, Joe gave Eric his blessing to start the re-production of JP Lures once again. These are 100% authentic and provided with the JP Lures signature on each lure as well as the original eye style and even some of the original insert paper that were also unique with his lures (which have limited availability) - All to give full due respect to the original creator as well as to prove his ultimate blessing for their production.**

The XL Lunger is the brand new 16" skirt saddle sized version of the Lunger series - This size has never been made before by Joe Palacat, so this is your first opportunity to get this larger near-teaser sized Lunger. Similar in size to the Large Poi Dog. The original Lunger has caught many Granders in its day and is in fact one of the most in demand Marlin lures of all time. The ability to offer the same JP Lures Lunger but now produced by one of the world's current best lure makers is nothing but a luxury for all of us to have. After 16 years of being out of production, the chance is finally here again to add one of the most famous lures ever made to your spread. This lure runs great in calmer conditions but also performs well in the chop - It has been tested in both with very promising results.

This particular head has a transparent bright and colorful rainbow-iridescent scaled wrap covering the insert over yellow with blue dots "Mahi Mahi" Mother of Pearl along the sides with a blue back. This is a rare insert style utilizing Mahi shell and rainbow scale paper on one insert together.
