**Read our full introduction of the Koya Lures-JP Lures Series for a full run-known of the history behind these lures here:
A brief summary: The JP Lures Series all are handmade from the same molds originally created by the original JP Lures maker, Joe Palacat. When Eric Koyanagi (maker of Koya Lures) was first learning how to produce lures, Joe was not just Eric's main inspiration but also his only mentor, teaching him everything he needed to know about lure making. Thanks to the strong ties between the two living legends, Joe gave Eric his blessing to start the re-production of JP Lures once again. These are 100% authentic and provided with the JP Lures signature on each lure as well as the original eye style and even some of the original insert paper that were also unique with his lures (which have limited availability) - All to give full due respect to the original creator as well as to prove his ultimate blessing for their production.**
The Large Lunger is the 14" skirt saddle sized version of the Lunger series, using the same molds from the original JP Lures Lunger that became famous for its massive hauls including multiple Granders and many other trophy fish. The Lunger is in fact one of the most in demand Marlin lures of all time, especially back in its day. The ability to offer the same JP Lures Lunger but now produced by one of the world's current best lure makers is nothing but a luxury for all of us to have. After 16 years of being out of production, the chance is finally here again to add one of the most famous lures ever made to your spread.
BOM Skirt Size 702.
This particular head has a triple poured plumb/root beer back, black stripe, and clear belly with JP Lures' famous rainbow-iridescent patterned "Grander" paper where it received its name for producing multiple Granders itself. The eyes are just like the original lineup of JP Lures as well with a rainbow-iridescent black center and red outer rim. This Grander paper has limited availability as it is out of production - Once it is gone, it's gone.
